Without soil testing, you’re stuck guessing at what your plants need from your soil. That’s why we’re offering a course to teach you the basics of how to read a soil test, from understanding the basics to understanding what’s good and not so good in your soil and how to change it. Lunch is included. Course schedule includes:
10:00am - 11:00am Foundations: the concepts you need to know to read a soil test
11:00am - Noon Reading the test: how to understand what is on the paper, including where to start, what each section is telling you, and what information to take away from the numbers.
Noon - 12:30pm Lunch
12:30pm -1:30pm Interpreting your test results: How to tell what is good on your test and what needs improvement. What numbers are you shooting for? And how do you change levels in your soil?
1:30pm - 2:00pm: Questions
This is a classroom-style course, and unfortunately we do not have childcare facilities available on the farm. Registration is good for one attendee.
